Begining of the End :(
Shalom TAMIDniks,
It’s been a bittersweet week here on the TAMID fellowship. We had a lot of fun gatherings together, and we enjoyed good quality bonding-time. But we also had our final time together as a group–Kevin and Idan will be leaving later this week.
It’s sad to see them go, and it’s a sign that the program is approaching its conclusion even for those of us who are still here in Israel. But we’ve still got a lot of time out here, and we’ll make sure to fit in as much action as we can before going back to the states and telling America just how awesome the opportunities are that TAMID has to offer.
Last week, we met with Ari Gorlin, an executive at Kramer Electronics. Ari has a special place in TAMID’s history. He mentored our founder Eitan Ingall when he spent his summer at PresenTense a few years ago. Ari gave us some great insights about Israel’s financial situation since the 1990s, and he had a lot of advice for us going forward. Ari inspired us with a sense of Eitan’s amazing leadership qualities, and inspired us to emulate Eitan’s amazing work.
And that same day, we met with Avi Ifergan of Bank Leumi. Avi spoke to us about his theory that demographic trends will give Israel a competitive advantage in the coming decades. He feels that Israel’s youth-heavy population will, as it matures, stimulate economic growth.
And at REAL Housing, things are going very well. We’ve been traveling around the country, from overseeing building projects to taking meetings to raise capital.
So farewell Kevin and Idan, it’s been so nice getting to know you guys better this summer, and I’m so glad to have shared this incredible journey with you!
